Program Overview

Wyndham Rewards is the new, revamped trip rewards program for Wyndham Worldwide hotels. The program was previously called Trip Rewards, but changed it\'s name to Wyndham Rewards recently. Many program members worried that their accrued points and miles would not be valid under the new program name, but Wyndham Rewards assured every customer that they still honor points gained under the old Trip Rewards program. Earning Opportunities With Wyndham Rewards, earning points is exceptionally easy. Members even have the opportunity to choose to earn points, rail miles, or airline miles on qualifying stays. Program participants can earn by staying in a hotel, of course, but there are many others ways to earn. Points or miles can be earned by shopping online at select retailers, renting cars, or using various services, such as Jackson Hewitt for taxes.

Redeem Opportunities

Since Wyndham Rewards offers so many different options for using earned points and miles, members will have a hard time deciding what to cash their earnings in on! Points may be redeemed for entertainment, such as movie or event tickets. They may also be redeemed for hotel stays, various gift cards, merchandise, or even to make a charitable donation. Miles can be exchanged for airline tickets or rail tickets.

Transfer Opportunities

Points earned on Wyndham Rewards can be transferred to other programs, as well. For example, 8,000 points on Wyndham Rewards will transfer to two Southwest Rapid Rewards Credits on Southwest Airlines. The same 8,000 could also be redeemed for 3,200 miles on the American Airlines AAdvanatage rewards plan.

Conclusion

The Wyndham Rewards program is truly like no other rewards plan out there. Since it is not an airline, members get the best of all worlds because they can trade their points to almost any existing rewards plan to gain free airfare, rail tickets, and more. Points can also always be traded for hotel stays and rental cars, as well as great merchandise- and who doesn\'t love that?
